Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Francois Suteau from the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, earned the title of US World Chocolate Master. As the U.S. titleholder, Chef Suteau will represent the United States and compete against other top culinary artisans from 18 countries in the 2013 World Chocolate Masters to be held in Paris this October.
His three remarkable competitors were Executive Pastry Chef Jove Hubbard, the James Hotel, Chicago; Executive Pastry Chef Todd Owen, the Old Edwards Inn & Spa, NC and Chef de Tournant, Evan Sheridan, the University Club of Chicago.
Held at the Barry Callebaut Chocolate Academy in Chicago the competitors where judged on their artistry, taste, and technical skill.
